Polish B1 exam dates 2026 and 2027, fees and registration

Checked against certyfikatpolski.pl on 7 October 2026

The B1 state exam is not open all year. It runs on fixed weekends, about five to seven times a year. Here are the dates and the practical details.

Session dates with adult B1

Dates come from the official schedule at certyfikatpolski.pl. Each exam centre runs only some sessions, so check which dates your centre offers.

Fees

Each exam centre sets its own fee, up to 150 euros for the adult B1 exam (paid in złoty), plus 20 euros for the certificate itself.

A change to the law signed in May 2026 links the fees to the average wage from 1 January 2027, so prices may change next year.

Where you take it

Only at official exam centres, mostly universities and language schools in Polish cities, plus some centres abroad. The current list is on certyfikatpolski.pl.

Registration and retakes

Is B2 coming for citizenship?

The government has proposed B2 plus a civic test for citizenship. As of August 2026 this was a draft at its first reading in the Sejm, not law. Today the requirement is B1.
